Polar Bear Recap Destination #12

Hello Fellow Polar Bear,

 
RECAP:
Luck has been on our side to have another nice day for a ride to our 12 th Polar Bear destination. We had 17 members arrive at The Penquin Hotel for check-in. There were 15 riders and 2 passengers. The food was excellent and the Penquin was glad to see so many Polar Bears. 

 
The next Polar Bear event and destination is Saturday, March 11at the Little Oley Tavern. Sign-in time is 11:30AM-12:30PM. The forecast as of now will be mostly cloudy with rain showers and a high of 44 degrees..

Polar Bear Recap Destination #11

Hello Fellow Polar Bear,

RECAP:
We had another perfect day for a ride to our 11th Polar Bear destination. The sign-in sheet supports that. We had 29 members arrive at Wackers Roadhouse for check-in. There were 22 riders and 7 passengers.

The next Polar Bear event and destination is Saturday, March 4th at the Penguin Hotel. Sign-in time is 11:30AM-12:30PM. The forecast as of now will be mostly cloudy with rain and snow showers in the morning with a high of 47 degrees. I am sure that forecast will change. Phil only has one job to do so he better get to it and provide us with at least a just cloudy day.

Polar Bear Recap Destination #10

Hello Fellow Polar Bear,
 
RECAP:
We had a nice cold Polar Bear ride to our 10th Polar Bear destination. 12 members arrived at Fitzwater Station for check-in. There were 11 riders and 1 passenger. The food was good and they even had a brunch menu. They had a brisket, peppers, scrambled eggs (I think there was more stuff on it) hoagie. Larry devoured it and said it was great.  Thanks again Doug for the suggestion and recommendation. 
 
 

The temperature was on the cooler side. For Todd and I the temperature was about 15 degrees when we left. Taking the backroads route we were traveling around 50 miles per hour. So as shown in the chart below, the temperature was really about -10 degrees. I don’t understand why the chart stops at 15 degrees because the chapter members have ridden their motorcycles in lower temperatures. I guess maybe I will need to search out another chart. 

 

 

The next Polar Bear event and destination is Saturday, Feb 18 at Wackers Roadhouse. Sign-in time is 12- 1PM. The forecast as of now will be mostly sunny with a high of 42 degrees.
 
If you were never at Wackers Roadhouse before you don’t want to miss it. The restaurant is decorated with about 15 or 20 antique Harleys, a Leggero and an AMF snowmobile. I think there was an AMF golf cart also. Oh yes,  I almost forgot the food and beer is good also (great ribs). The Wackers Brewery was founded in Lancaster in 1852. The Roadhouse is located next to Lancaster HD so you can also do a little bit of shopping also.

Polar Bear Recap Destination #9

Hello Fellow Polar Bear,
RECAP:
We had another precipitation free ride to our 9th Polar Bear destination. 25 members arrived at Kim and Don,s home for check-in. There were 20 riders, 3 passengers and 2 arrived by car. 
Kim and Don, we all would like to thank you for hosting a polar bear event once again and for the delicious breakfast buffet. 

The next Polar Bear event and destination is Saturday, Feb 4th at Fitzwater Station. Sign-in time is 12- 1PM. The forecast as of now will be mostly sunny with a high of 22 degrees.  The 22 degrees will make the ride feel like polar bear weather but, the sunny skies will make it another good day for a ride.

There are 4 people with perfect attendance. 
A special Thanks goes out to Todd for capturing all the happy faces.
